     Fertility Boosting Tips

     Fertility Boosting Tips

Here are some fertility boosting tips:

    • Add antioxidants to your diet.

Antioxidants are substances that prevent the destruction of cells, improving sperm quality, reducing the possibility of oxidative stress. Scientific research found that men who took these substances in supplement form had less damage to sperm DNA and consequently higher fertility rates.

    Such substances are

    a. Zinc found in oysters, crabs, red meat, poultry, beans

    b. Vitamin C in many fruits, vegetables

    c. Selenium in foods such as cod, tuna, turkey, chicken and beef.

    D. Vitamin E in nuts, oils

    E. Folic acid found in liver, green vegetables, fruits, beans and

St. Lycopene found in tomatoes, watermelon, apricots.

You can enrich your diet with the above food categories or take corresponding supplements.

    • Quitting smoking can increase your fertility.

Smoking adversely affects the number, mobility and morphology of sperm, so stopping (or minimizing it) can increase your fertility.

     • Avoid contact with toxic substances.

Studies have shown that sperm quality is affected after systematic contact.

    • Avoid habits that can increase the testicles’ temperature, such as tight clothing and long hours of sitting. This increased temperature locally can affect sperm quality.

    • Maintain a normal body weight.

Both obese and underweight men have an increased chance of abnormal sperm due to hormonal disorders.

    • Excessive daily use of alcohol adversely affects sperm quality.

Alcohol consumption in men appears to have an impact on their fertility. Studies of long-term and heavy alcohol use have reported decreased testosterone and sperm production.

    • Treat underlying diseases.

Metabolic disorders such as Diabetes, Hyper-Hypo thyroidism, sexually transmitted diseases and poor dental hygiene can directly or indirectly affect your fertility.

    • Frequent sexual contacts

Studies have proven that several days abstinence of ejaculation results in  decreased sperm motility. On the other hand, daily contacts lead to decreased sperm concentration. So a frequency of sexual contacts 2 – 3 times a week seems to have the best results for increasing your fertility.
