OUR TEAM

Georgia Panagou has been the junior embryologist member  of our unit. She specializes in the andrology laboratory and she is now trained in more assisted reproduction techniques.

She holds a degree in Biology and also has completed the Postgraduate Study Program (Master of Science, MSc)  in “Reproductive – Regenerative Medicine” of the School of Medicine both of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens (UOA).

She has participated in research programs at the Hellenic Pasteur Institute in the Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Immunobiotechnology, regarding the study of biomarker molecules and has gained extensive experience in molecular biology, immunoenzymatic and chromatographic analysis techniques.

Her diploma thesis was “Study of the rs895819 (A>G) polymorphism of the mir-27a gene in women with recurrent miscarriages”, whereas  a statistically significant correlation was found and published in Fertility and Sterility .

She is a highly efficient person and now attends the Supplementary Distance Education program of the UOA  “Male Infertility: Laboratory Investigation and Therapeutic Treatment”.

She is a member of our Unit since 2022 and she has attended and participated in many courses and conferences on genetics, molecular biology, neurobiology, immunology and assisted reproduction.
