Artificial intelligence (AI)<\/b><\/span> is a widely used tool in modern life, affecting our daily routine even if we do not notice.<\/span> Since techniques in IVF are constantly evolving, hoping that every attempt will be successful and lead to a healthy baby, AI has also intruded to <\/span>revolutionize<\/span> this field.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Artificial intelligence (AI)<\/b><\/span> fulfills the highest standards of laboratory technology in the field of IVF.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We are pleased to state that Athens IVF Center, once again leading the way, since it is one of the first IVF units in Greece, but also worldwide, that has included <\/span>Artificial intelligence (AI)<\/b><\/span> in the laboratory since 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n

We use <\/span>iDAScore<\/span>, an artificial intelligence (AI) software algorithm, in conjunction with <\/span>EmbryoScope\u00ae.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n\n \n <\/div>\n\n \n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0iDAScore<\/b><\/span> is a significant improvement on any other system used so far in human embryology after being tested and based on multi-center studies\u00a0 (115.000 embryos from 18 different clinics around the world) <\/span>and <\/span>provides fully automated selection processes and evaluations for each embryo of patients’ cohort eliminating the subjective assessments with completely objective analysis.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Further studies since then, have shown that the highest grade embryos in the automated selection process give the highest probability of successful implantation and positive fetal heart beat.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Recently, a new version of iDA Score<\/span> has been installed in IVF Athens Center (<\/span>iDA Score version 2.0<\/b><\/span>) based on the same artificial intelligence technology, derived from more data (>181.000 embryos), more IVF units and after well-proven results (birth rates). It provides a fully automated selection process and evaluation for every fertilized oocyte (embryo) and at more stages of development (day 2, 3 or 5\/6).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The advantages of the installed <\/span>iDA Score version 2.0<\/b><\/span>, are:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  • The availability of a score at any time from day 2 (at least 39 h post fertilization), day 3 (72 h p.f.) or until days 5\/6 (108 -148 h p.f.).<\/span><\/li>\n
  • The results are comparable between days, which means that a day 2 embryo with a high score has the same implantation probability regardless the day of embryo transfer and embryos with similar scores have the same implantation probability regardless the day of evaluation.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n\n
